Need to gift something to a new mom?
If you are wondering what to gift a new breastfeeding mom (and simply any mom that needs to eat!), I urge you to skip Amazon and review my super easy go-to list of nourishing superfoods here. I'll also explain my routine and being a busy or tired mom - you really can't go wrong with this.
As a new mom I wish someone in my corner really checked in on me and understood the criticality of nourishment not just in the newborn phase but for years to come. Instead there was this 'doing great' generic facade. I should have been paying more attention to my needs, while I was all in on my baby and that didn't change as she grew either.
I didn't eat right. I often didn't eat at all. I was stressed. Fast forward 3 years and my adrenals were shot. I was literally twitching in my sleep and not just a tiny twitch. My body needed help.
Any time to nourish and heal from the inside out is incredible. In the Spring of 2023 I was tired of being tired. I was tired of being sick once a month from my growing human who brought germs home all the time and recently resulted in an upper lung infection. I was tired of scrounging food from the kitchen randomly between intense computer work sessions. I began a protocol with the help of my superfoods mentor Michelle at Bella Root Holistic Wellness.
Now I have a morning drink in a quick little drink blender I got from a Purium special pack but you can also find them on Amazon for a minimal cost. My drink contains:
Distilled water
My flavor preference of 2 Tb of the Apple Berry shake powder and 2 Tb of Berry Collagen Support powder
I add 3 droplets of Fulvic Zeolite to help draw toxins out of my body too (skip if breastfeeding)
If I need a caffeine pick me up I add 1 tsp of Can't Beet This! powder (skip if breastfeeding)
With this drink I take 4-5 Super Aminos which are 100% pre-digested vegan protein tablets can help build lean muscle and burn fat
1 Biome Medic
We all could use some help with immunity. Especially with children around... I am certain this has kept illness away from me since I started this protocol the spring of 2023. For this reason I add:
2 ZinC-ADE capsules
3 C From Nature capsules
1 hour before my lunch I have in the blender:
Coconut water, juice or distilled water
2 tsp of Aloe Digest (skip if breastfeeding)
1 tsp of Green Spectrum
2 droppers of Ionic Elements
1 tsp of White American Ginseng Extract (skip if breastfeeding)
For my lunch in my drink blender I have:
Distilled water
4 Tb Apple Berry powder
With this drink I usually take 4-5 Super Aminos
3 Renew Hair Skin & Nails
Any additional any inflammatory or pain remedies that I might need help with like BIO Regen and Super Xanthin (skip if breastfeeding)
I eat dinner!
Then at night before bed I add 2 Tb of the Apothe Cherry to a cup of distilled water. This helps me sleep deeper. It incredibly keeps my hypnic jerks away. It's the only thing that has.
